Gatherings for women ready to come home to themselves
Unthread™
Some of what you carry was never yours
to carry alone
Before you Here and now What you want to pass on
Unthread is a reflective programme for women who sense that something in their emotional life began before them.
Not a course. Not a workshop in the usual sense. A space to look clearly at the threads that have shaped you, understand what you are holding, and begin to decide what you want to carry forward.
Begin your Unthread Journey
Unthread is for personal development and reflection only and is not a substitute for counselling or therapy
What Unthread is
Not everything that lives in you began with you
Some emotional patterns feel too large to be entirely your own. A way of shrinking in certain rooms. A readiness for things to go wrong even when they are going well. A difficulty receiving care when you have spent a lifetime giving it.
These patterns are real. They are not character flaws, and they are not simply the result of your own experiences. Often, they have roots that run deeper than one lifetime.
Unthread was developed to explore exactly that territory. The place where your story meets the stories that came before you. Where the inherited meets the chosen. Where you begin to see, perhaps for the first time, what is actually yours and what was handed to you.
This is not therapy, though it works alongside it.
It is not analysis, though it invites clear seeing.
It is a guided, symbolic, deeply personal process of reflection.
One that takes place across time, not just within it.

Three movements,
One continuous thread
I
Before you
What arrived before you had language for it. The patterns, silences, and emotional inheritances that shaped the family you came into. Not to assign blame, but to begin to see clearly what you were given to work with.
II
Here and now
How those inherited patterns show up in your life today. In your relationships, your responses, your recurring struggles, and your recurring strengths. Seeing the thread from then to now, without collapsing the distance between them.
III
What you want to pass on
The question that changes everything. Not what was handed to you, but what you choose to carry forward. What you are ready to put down. What you want the next generation to inherit from you, in whatever form that takes.
I don't believe in breaking cycles. I believe in shifting threads, with awarness, courage and compassion

The Threads of Self Framework
The Seven Threads of Self is the framework at the heart of Unthread. Each thread represents a dimension of who you are: where it came from, how it lives in you now, and what you might want to do with it going forward.
In each Gathering, we work with one thread. Not to fix it. To understand it.

The Framework
Seven threads. One self.
In each Gathering, we work with one thread. Not to fix it. To understand it.
Ancestral Courage (Cultural)
What strength do I inherit? What courage lives in me?
The courage that arrived before you had words for it. What your ancestors survived, adapted to, built from. Not a romanticised lineage, but an honest one. What was strong in those who came before you, and how that strength, sometimes quietly, sometimes unmistakably, lives on in you.
Emotional Clarity (Cognitive)
Which emotions guide me? Which old responses can I let go?
How emotion was learned in your family. What was welcomed, what was managed, what moved silently beneath the surface. This thread invites you to look at what you feel and why, and to begin to distinguish between the emotions that are genuinely yours and the responses that were simply the ones available to you.
Creativity & Choice (Cognitive / Somatic)
What new possibilities am I ready to step into?
What becomes possible when you are no longer simply responding. This thread is about agency, the kind that does not announce itself loudly but arrives quietly, when enough has been understood. The new direction that was always there, waiting for the right conditions.
Somatic Safety (Somatic)
Where in my body do I feel safe, grounded, and supported?
What your body has learned to hold, and where it has learned to brace. Safety is not only a thought, it is a felt sense, a place in the body. This thread invites you to find where that lives in you, and to begin to trust it.
Belonging & Heritage (Relational / Cultural)
What parts of my lineage do I carry proudly?
Where you have felt at home, and where you have not. The communities, places, and histories that have shaped your sense of who you are. This thread does not ask you to claim everything. It asks you to look clearly, and to choose what you are proud to carry.
Connection & Relationships (Relational)
How do I want to show up in my relationships?
The patterns that move through your closest relationships, how you give, how you receive, where you close down, where you open. This thread is not about what has gone wrong. It is about who you want to be in the presence of the people who matter to you.
Legacy & Release (Cognitive / Cultural)
What can I gently let go of, and what future thread am I ready to weave?
The thread that belongs entirely to you. Not what was handed down, but what you are deciding. What you are ready to put down. What you want to pass forward, to the next generation, in whatever form that takes.
How it works
Seven Gatherings
One thread at a time.
Unthread takes place across seven Gatherings. Each one is a small, carefully held online session for a group of women, or a one-to-one session if you prefer to work individually.
Each Gathering centres on one thread. We use reflective writing, symbolic objects, somatic awareness, and conversation to explore what that thread holds for you. Nothing is prescribed. Nothing is forced. The pace is yours.
Between Gatherings, you work with a companion workbook, a space for private reflection that belongs entirely to you.
Gathering One
Arriving
Beginning with where you are. What you are carrying into the room. What prompted you to be here now.
Gatherings Two to Six
The Threads
One thread per Gathering. Held gently, explored thoroughly, never rushed toward a conclusion.
Gathering Seven
What you are taking forward
The final arc. Not a resolution but a choosing. What you are ready to carry. What you are ready to put down.
Throughout
The companion workbook
A private reflective space. Yours to keep. Designed to hold what surfaces between sessions, when the work continues quietly in ordinary life.
Who this is for
Women who are ready to look clearly
Unthread is for women who are curious about where their patterns come from. Who have a sense that the emotional territory they keep returning to is larger than their own story. Who are ready to explore that territory with care, without pressure, and without being told what to find.
You do not need to be in crisis. You do not need a diagnosis or a specific presenting problem. You need to be willing to sit with something uncertain and give it time and attention.
Many of the women who come to Unthread are also in counselling, or have been. Some come to Unthread first. Some come only to Unthread. The programme works independently of therapy, though it complements it deeply.
If you have ever thought:
this feels older than me,
or this does not feel entirely mine,
Unthread was made for that feeling.
Ways to Work Together
Wherever you are in your story, there is a way in that fits
Unthread is a personal development experience
It is not therapy, and it is not a workshop in the traditional sense.
It is a space to understand what you have been carrying, and to begin choosing what comes next.
